Random stuff on eBay and the "30 minute" regimen

I have been doing a lot of soul searching lately and trying to figure out "stuff". Not sure if any of you have those phases where you think about everything and reflect... maybe it is the lump they found at my mammogram a few weeks back (surgery/biopsy scheduled 11/19 to see if cancer) or maybe it is just the time of year? Whatever the reason, I have been thinking of ways to streamline and simplify.

I sold off a bunch of my belongings in a consignment auction last month to kickstart the whole process but still have too much and not enough space in our current residence. That, and the insurance companies not cooperating with my health issues and the recent divorce, a few extra dollars would be a very good thing! So, I took the plunge and jumped into the current century and posted a couple things on eBay. I have never done that before so my listings probably look crappy - but we will see how it turns out. I only have a book and an awesome COACH purse that I won up right now (see widget in sidebar) but there will be more random stuff soon hopefully. Do any of you sell on eBay? Any tips?

Jen and I started a new regimen that has been working nicely. I tend to not focus when I am overwhelmed (Adult ADD I have been told now, but it could just be the way my life has progressed over the past year or 2 or 5) so we (she) came up with a 30 minute plan. Basically after we get our kids off to school, we set the timer for 30 minutes and do something. Really anything - clean the bathroom, vacuum, pay bills, etc. for 30 minutes at 100%. After we are done with those 30 minutes we call in (keep in mind I am in NJ and she is in IL) and walk for 30 minutes on the treadmill while we yak about our plan for the day (Kristy Valshan work, design, etc). Then we start our work day. It is nice to feel like I have already accomplished something and walking is great... makes me happy! :-)

I have been designing a collection that is really close to my heart - just need to preview it for you all and upload a freebie or 2. It will of course be on scrapblog as well so look for that!! Plus KV will have some news soon which is very exciting.... yay!

Organize those School Papers!

I did a guest post over at Scrapblog (thanks Rebecca!) about a quick, easy and cheap way to keep all those school papers together and make a keepsake at the same time.

Back to School :-)

Yay! Did a layout of the kiddos with the Kristy Valshan Back 2 School kit over at the wonderful Scrapblog today. I really love doing layouts there because it is so EASY and QUICK!

This page will be available as a theme so you can personalize your own - great idea for a quick teacher gift! Just stick the layout in a frame, or use the kit for a 4x6 brag book. Give each child in the class a hard copy of a page you create (you can order prints right from scrapblog) and they can adhere their school photo and handwrite a note to their teacher!

Jen Reed Rocks and Happy Mother's Day

Yes, my best friend in the world is awesome. Just thought I would tell you all that. I got this today... put a huge smile on my face and made me laugh (bonus)!

Spring color suggestions...
